Evaluate the sensitivity of the causative microorganism before starting treatment. No dosage adjustment is generally necessary in patients with isolated renal or hepatic impairment. Use caution in patients with significant renal and hepatic dysfunction. Monitor the response to treatment and adjust therapy as necessary.
Caution in patients with a history of allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics. Monitor for signs of pseudomembranous colitis and other gastrointestinal adverse reactions.
