The dose should be adjusted individually according to the severity of hypertension and the patient’s response. Typical starting dose: 150 mg once daily, with adjustments up to 300 mg according to the patient’s response. Can be administered with or without food.
The use of Irbesartan in Vascutan can significantly reduce blood pressure without causing an increase in heart rate. Facilitates the long-term management of hypertension with a low side-effect profile.
Evaluate blood pressure and renal function before starting treatment. Adjust the dose based on the patient’s blood pressure response. Monitor renal function regularly, especially in patients with cardiorenal diseases.
Monitor blood pressure regularly to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment. Use with caution in patients with fluid volume or salt disturbances. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to irbesartan or with bilateral renal artery stenosis.
