The dose should be adjusted according to pain severity and the patient’s response. Typical starting dose: 50–100 mg every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 400 mg/day. For IV administration, dilute in sterile solution and administer slowly over 2–3 minutes. For IM administration, inject directly into the muscle tissue.
Reduced particle emission upon opening. Enamel flakes from the ceramic rings can no longer fall into the medication. Cleaner break appearance, reduced risk of sharp glass spikes when opening, reducing the risk of injury. Significant reduction in the risk of ampoules that are very difficult to open.
Use only when the benefits outweigh the risks. Verify that non-opioid treatments are insufficient before prescribing. Initiate and adjust treatment under medical supervision, considering the patient’s response and tolerance.
Monitor patients for respiratory depression, especially within the first 24–72 hours of starting therapy and following dose increases. Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tramadol or opioids.
